More than 2,000 years ago, God sent His Son to bring hope to a hurting world. Today, God is still sending hope across the globe. From July 25 to August 3, this hope took the form of a FaithCare outreach to Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where a small clinic was transformed into a life-changing beacon of Health, Hope, and Healing.
A team of about 50 volunteers from the U.S. and Nigeria came together, united in Christ’s love, to serve the poorest and most vulnerable. Over the course of the week, the clinic functioned as a full hospital, offering medical, surgical, dental, eye, laboratory, and spiritual care. The number of patients grew daily as word spread; even when a tropical storm moved in, hundreds of people queued in the pouring rain for hours, desperate for both medical care and the hope of Christ.
Lives were touched, bodies were healed, and souls were renewed for eternity.
Impact at a Glance:
- 2,041 patients cared for
- 95 surgeries performed
- 524 received eye care (many with first-time glasses)
- 149 received dental care
- 177 lab tests completed
- 1,871 received prayer & counseling
- 96 decisions for faith & spiritual growth
- 9 Bibles distributed
Testimonies of Health, Hope, and Healing

A young man came to us wearing a large hoodie to hide a tumor on his neck, which we removed—he returned later with no hoodie, just a radiant smile!

A 12-year-old boy with a ruptured appendix was turned away from another hospital because his mother couldn’t afford treatment – we were able to give him emergency surgery and life-saving care.

A woman suffering for years from a massive fibroid tumor and severe bleeding was finally healed through surgery, leaving with joy and renewed strength.
When a staff member at the hotel we were staying at learned of our outreach, she brought her mother to receive treatment for her eyesight.
A Partnership in Ministry
This outreach was made possible through partnership with Kateri Medical Services, whose mission is to provide simple, affordable healthcare to Nigeria’s rural and urban poor, continuing the healing work of Jesus as a sign of God’s love.
A Mission of Eternal Impact
While the statistics are encouraging, the greatest gift shared was Hope. Each bandage, each surgery, each prayer was an act of Christ’s love. FaithCare is more than medical outreach—it is “Doctors without Borders, but with Faith”—a ministry that seeks to heal bodies, restore dignity, and point hearts to eternal life in Christ.
To God be the glory, for great things He has done in Port Harcourt!
