Why We Do What We Do?

FaithCare recognizes that many patients want their physician or care provider to address spiritual issues. The American Medical Association (AMA) has challenged physicians to train the future generation of providers to know how to meet the spiritual needs of patients.  Although two thirds of medical schools offer courses on spirituality and health, many physicians do not feel comfortable or feel they do not have the time to integrate the two. A FaithCare chapter will provide the necessary structure and support to integrate faith and healthcare.

We recognize that an individual’s life philosophy and faith perspective have a powerful influence in overall health and wellness. Therefore, through FaithCare Chapters we promote a curriculum discussing medical issues from a spiritual perspective. We seek to bring health, hope and healing to and through the healthcare community, providing transforming love locally and throughout the world.
